Sitting above the garage is a single bedroom self contained apartment. The goal was to provide a private space for tenants which has been achieved by directing all views and access at the rear.The bonus was the views and the sun this apartment gets baked in whilst maintaining the privacy require for everyone.
Height plains dictated where the upstairs apartment could go on this project. We wanted to stay within 45 sqm. Bringing this in line with the house side we were able to use the garden space for the stairwell and also provide a room below the veranda. To complete the look of always being there, the roofing was carried across the entire frontage. It added areas for lighting and frames the garage doors perfectly.
A traditional toilet with wooden seat also brings in the era required but also some warmth to the room. Imported tiles were used throughout the bathroom and the capping finishes this room off nicely.

Self Contained Apartment
This new apartment added to the top of the 3 car garage is approximately 45sqm. The project brief was for it to be private from the main house yet needed to look like it had always been there. The entrance is around the back via the far side of the garage and has a private stairwell for the tenants. The apartment has been designed with the north-facing sun and the private semi-enclosed veranda is a perfect addition. The theme throughout was blue & white and had to look spacious and welcoming.

Inner City Apartments
Nestled in the CBD these 3 Separate apartments incorporated into one complex have been designed and built on a 510sqm site. A challenge to make work with council requirements these apartments have been well designed to fit this small site. All Apartments incorporate between 2 & 3 bedrooms, an open plan kitchen, dining & living, and garaging. Large stacker doors lead out to spacious covered balconies for that extra living area. Modern Deco Apartments
A corner site complex, consented and waiting for the build to begin, these apartments (also on a small 510sqm site) have been designed with the original corner Art Deco store in mind that used to take pride of place before making way for a large family home. With the street appeal, these apartments have been designed for inner-city living. Close to the CBD and directed for maximum sun along it indoor-outdoor living on the large sunny balconies.
