TESTIMONIALS

Apartment's
completed.jpg

Under a recommendation I approached HAA to design some apartments on a small 510 sqm site I had in Salisbury Street, for development.

Initially I thought we could put 3 identical apartments on the site however due to the tight restrictions placed upon new builds in the CBD we could not achieve this. HAA then presented an alternative option.

By utilizing the building platform to the utmost advantage and the clever use of overlapping apartments they achieved 3 individual, light, airy and spacious boutique apartments, all with separate garaging and balconies.

This was my first development and I was concerned about taking this step however I was confidently helped through this process and the results far exceeded my expectations.

These Boutique Apartments were listed onto the market and 2 where sold within hours and 1 several day later.

I would happily recommend the team at HAA and use them in the future.

1970's Home Restoration

We approached Hunter Anderson Architecture to do a renovation to our holiday home in Hanmer Springs in 2014. We had some ideas of what we wanted of this property and on discussion with both David & Donna we were able to come up with some ideas to transform our home which was still in its original state.

The objective was to open the home up to create more light with indoor outdoor flow on both sides of the living room. This was established by large glass opening doors at each end dependent on sun and weather onto an additional balcony and rear deck. We also required some form of walkway and seating area out on one side and we had an issue with a window in the room below however David suggested a glass section in this walkway which does not cut off the light for this room. This is very effective.

The kitchen was opened out from a very small working space with narrow depth limited bench space, into the hallway cupboard to make a large room and redesigned for a much more sizable workable space. The brief included fitting in a large 900 mm freestanding oven, which initially we did not think we had the space to do this however this was achieved brilliantly. Donna transformed this space to a large workable kitchen with plenty of storage and included a breakfast bar area which we had not had before. This is a great addition to our small living area and we love being able to sit there and communicate with everyone.

The hallway, bathroom and separate toilet upstairs were a clutter of doors and bits of wall jutting out into a spiral stairwell to the downstairs guest room. A small jut out wall was removed for a wider staircase to be designed to fit the walls and removal of the spiral staircase. The Bathroom and toilet were opened out to create one large bathroom and the entire room was moved around to create a large open bathroom with a new higher up long window which gives privacy and light right across the room.

We also required a bathroom for the downstairs guest room. This was created by knocking through the concrete wall to the back area of the garage. This room does not have any windows due to being in the basement however with lighting, tiles, mirror and complementary color the room has large open feel including a shower over the bath. The laundry was re-established in the garage for all to access.
Our house has now been transformed and we love the final effect.

We would definitely recommend you use Hunter Anderson Architecture for your project.

Kitchen Renovation
completed.jpg

We contracted Donna Hunter to build a new kitchen to replace the old and rather cramped one we had. She undertook the whole task, including the design of the kitchen, arranging for new appliances, contracting and dealing with the various tradesmen involved and generally managing the schedule, while consulting regularly with us and keeping us up to date. The result is a much more modern and spacious kitchen than we had, though within the same floor space as the original. It is more spacious both in actuality and in appearance, especially when one looks to or from the adjoining lounge. Donna is certainly a great “ideas person” when it comes to design and thorough in execution.

We would recommend the Hunters to others.
