1970's Home Renovation
A 1970's dwelling was renovated throughout to bring it up to a modern, yet in keeping with the alpine area of Hanmer Springs.
This dated home was crying out for a total revamp. By reconfiguring the stairwell, kitchen, bathroom, toilet, along with the lower levels, this home was turned into a practical family/holiday home. New windows, sliding doors, skylights, and balconies add an air of contentment to this home. The natural views are seen from all angles of this wonderful environment.
Driving into his renovated home you are surrounded by a colorful established garden with a sweeping driveway which takes you down to the lower level for guests.
The large windows capture the amazing view this holiday home has to offer. With a large schist fireplace and all day sun this design really works for this home. A large designer kitchen by Donna Hunter Design is a great entertainers area. With seating on two sides of the large Granite bench top island, many guests can enjoy this space.
The final result of this restoration with the new veranda with glass installed to drop light on the front entry making it light, bright and a lovely place to sit on a sunny day. New designer kitchen with Butlers sink, tiled splash-back and large entertaining island. The new relocated main bathroom with large walk-in shower, toilet, pedestal basin & hand-painted tiles.
A skylight in the bathroom means that the new placement within the internal part of the dwelling has venting and natural sunlight.
